What happened

In February of this year, (2026) I got a phone call from my brother in law down in Colombia, telling me that doctors said my sister, his wife, was not going to make it. María Isabel started to have that pain that she knew too well, after her breakfast that day. So she decided with her husband Enrique, to drive the three hour drive from their place in the country to Cali to a hospital considered one of the best in South America. She got there and the doctors decided to open her up after 72 hours of treatment that was the standard procedure in these cases. This was the third time she had an occlusion of her digestive system due to a twist in her small intestines. What they found this time was that there was necrosis in several places in her intestines. So they had to cut 30 centimeters of her small intestine right at the section that regulates liquids in the body. Due to the necrosis around the area, doctors decided to not connect the intestine and to leave her abdomen opened for three days and watch what would happen. At this point, they were not optimistic at all. She only weighed 80 pounds! My husband and I flew to Cali from the States thinking it was going to be the last time we would see her. I was praying hard for her to be healed the whole time of the flight. We arrived at the hospital and she was in intensive care. I had this hope in my heart. They let me into her room. Maria was in and out of consciousness because of the drugs but she saw me and smiled. There was a cross on the wall and I was looking at it and praying for the Lord to please heal her. But I had fear that His will was going to be to take her to Him. It wasn’t until I surrendered my heart and that fear that I prayed for HIS WILL to be done, when I heard myself telling her, "THE HEALING SPIRIT OF GOD WILL HEAL YOU." Those were not my words! There He was. His presence; I saw myself extending my arms and placing my hands hovering over her abdomen and felt this tingling electricity down my arms and my hands. I was in complete awe of that. I remember thinking WOW!! I can’t tell you if it was 10 seconds, half a minute or two or three. I can only say that it was awesome and it was followed by a peace I had not experienced before. I stayed there for a while after that and when I went out to see my husband and my siblings in the waiting room, I didn’t know if I should tell them or not, so I just told my husband. I said, María has been healed. He smiled. Later that day, during dinner with my siblings, I shared what had happened. They just listened but said nothing. They were scared. Next day, the doctor told us, that the gray areas of necrosis were GONE and that this was a miracle they didn’t expect; her intestines were pink again. They took her to the operating room and connected her intestines and closed her abdomen. Her recovery started that day. It is the end of September now and after 7 months of hard recovery time of food trials and doctors and very uncomfortable things you all can picture, today, she is COMPLETELY recovered, back to eating normally and even gaining some weight. THE LORD healed her and it was my honor to be the vehicle he used to do so. I witnessed a miracle. Praise our savior for he is ALMIGHTY! All glory to Him!

Looking back

I think I understood immediately this was a miracle. It was very evident to me.

Where I see God now

I believe that we must surrender to his will. I think, what if His will would have been to take her? Would I still believe that miracles are possible? And my answer is yes.
