About

Some things only make sense looking back.

Some moments make sense while they're happening.

Others don't.

Sometimes it takes a week. Sometimes it takes twenty years.

We look back at a conversation, a disappointment, an unexpected person, a closed door, a loss, a detour, or a seemingly ordinary moment and realize:

I see that differently now.

For many of us, that reflection becomes something more:

I think God was there.

I Saw That exists to make room for those stories.

Stories of moments that looked one way while we were living them and different when we looked back.

What belongs here

Honest reflection, not perfect answers.

Some stories are joyful. Some are painful. Some are extraordinary. Many are wonderfully ordinary.

You don't have to explain everything. You don't have to be certain about every detail. And you don't have to make the story sound more dramatic than it was.

The question is simply this:

What do you see now that you couldn't see then?

What this isn't

Not arguments. Not proofs.

I Saw That isn't a place for proving that every event has a simple explanation or telling someone else what God was doing in their life.

We don't claim to know why everything happens. We don't believe pain needs to be wrapped in an easy answer. And we don't expect every contributor to describe faith in exactly the same way.

These are personal reflections — stories about where someone believes God was present, at work, or revealing something in hindsight.

The question

Where did you see God?

If something in your life looked different when you looked back, we'd love to hear the story.
